Two devices, two pads

The upper pad is magnetic and delivers 7.5W to a MagSafe-compatible iPhone — snap it on and it aligns itself, which is the practical advantage of magnets over a flat pad you have to position by feel. The lower base delivers 5W, sized for a wireless earbuds case. Both run at once, so one charger covers the two things most people put on a nightstand.

The flip and rotate mechanism

The top platform flips up to 60 degrees and rotates through 360, so the phone can sit in portrait for notifications or landscape for video while charging. That sounds like a small thing until you have tried to watch something on a phone lying flat on a pad. Anker also made the base weighted and non-slip, which is what stops the whole thing lifting off the desk when you pull the phone away one-handed. The LED at the base goes dark after three seconds rather than glowing all night.

What you need to supply

The charger needs a USB-C wall adapter of 20W or higher to reach full output — the cable is included but we do not promise an adapter is, because box contents vary by batch. If you do not already have a spare 20W adapter, add one to your order; running this from an older 5W brick will charge both devices very slowly.

Do I need to buy a wall adapter separately?

Possibly. The cable is included, but box contents vary by batch so we do not promise an adapter. You need a USB-C one rated 20W or higher for full speed. An older 5W brick will charge both pads very slowly.

Will it work with an Android phone?

It will charge any Qi-compatible phone on the pads, but the magnets only grip MagSafe-compatible iPhones. On an Android phone without a magnetic ring or case, it works as an ordinary stand rather than snapping into place.

Is 7.5W slow for a phone?

It is slower than a cable, yes — wireless charging always is, because energy is lost as heat crossing the gap. For overnight or desk-side topping up it is more than sufficient. For a fast charge before leaving, use a cable.

What fits on the lower pad?

A wireless charging earbuds case is what it is sized and rated for at 5W. Anything else that supports Qi charging and physically fits will also work, though a second phone would charge extremely slowly at that wattage.

Does the light stay on all night?

No. The LED at the base shows charging status and then switches off after about three seconds, which is a deliberate design choice for a nightstand. You get confirmation that it is working without a glow in a dark bedroom.
