Thirty milliseconds of game-mode latency, which is the lowest figure across Awei's T series and the reason to choose this pair. Compare it across our earbuds and TWS.
Latency is the delay between what happens on screen and what you hear. Above roughly 100ms it is obvious and disorienting; below about 40ms most people stop noticing. At 30ms the T28 Pro is at the good end of what wireless earbuds achieve — the T53 and T29 Pro both quote 65ms, which is more than double. If competitive shooters or rhythm games are why you are buying, this is the pair in the range to take. For video and music the difference is invisible, because players compensate for audio delay automatically.
The T28 Pro runs Bluetooth 5.1, where most of the T range has moved to 5.3. In practice that means slightly less efficient power use and a marginally less robust connection in crowded radio environments — not something you will hear, but worth knowing you are trading it for the lower latency. Awei also publishes no water resistance rating for this model, so we have not listed one. If you train in it, choose a T-series pair with a stated IPX rating instead.
Game mode toggles with a triple tap on the right earbud, so you can switch without opening an app. The charging case carries animated RGB lighting.

In competitive shooters and rhythm games, yes. Below about 40ms most people stop perceiving the delay; 65ms is more than double this and sits closer to where it becomes noticeable. For video and music neither matters.
It is an older chipset, and that is the trade-off for the lower latency figure. The practical cost is slightly less efficient power use and a marginally less robust link in crowded radio environments — not something you will hear.
Awei publishes no water resistance rating for this model, so we cannot promise sweat resistance and have not listed one. The T50, T51 and T53 in the same range all state IPX6 if training is the intended use.
Triple-tap the right earbud. That is a genuine convenience — many earbuds bury the setting in a companion app, which means unlocking your phone mid-session rather than switching on the earbud itself.
The T28 Pro for the lowest latency. The T53 if you want active noise cancellation. The T29 Pro for titanium diaphragms and IPX6. The T50 and T51 are the straightforward modern pairs on Bluetooth 5.3.
