The second-generation T13 ANC, with a larger driver and a published cancellation depth. Compare it against the rest of our earbuds and TWS.
These two are easy to confuse, so here is the concrete difference. The original T13 ANC uses a 7.2mm driver and quotes a 40-hour total with a dedicated sleep mode. The ANC 2 uses a larger 10mm driver, quotes 28dB of cancellation depth, and rates battery life at 22 hours with cancellation running or 30 hours without. So the original wins on stated endurance and the ANC 2 wins on driver size and on telling you how much noise it removes. Neither is simply the better product — pick on which of those matters to you.
Twenty-eight decibels is a moderate figure, honestly stated. Expect it to take the edge off a commute rather than silence one, and expect it to do far more about engine drone than about people talking, which is how cancellation works at every price. Four microphones running ENC handle the other half of the problem — cleaning up your voice for whoever is on the call, which is a different job from cleaning up their noise for you.
A glossy case with rounded corners, which matters mainly because a case with sharp edges is the one that stops going in a pocket. The earbuds themselves use a sealed in-ear fit, so getting the right tip size is what determines both the bass response and how much cancellation you actually receive.

The ANC 2 has a larger 10mm driver and states 28dB of cancellation. The original uses a 7.2mm driver and quotes 40 hours with a sleep mode. The original claims more endurance; this one has the bigger driver and a stated depth.
It is moderate and honestly stated. Expect it to take the edge off a commute rather than silence it. Higher figures exist, but how much you actually get depends more on how well the ear tips seal than on the number.
They solve opposite problems. Cancellation removes noise from what you hear. ENC removes noise from what the other person hears on a call, using the microphones to isolate your voice from the background before transmitting it.
Because cancellation runs microphones and audio processing continuously, which costs power. The eight-hour difference between 30 and 22 hours here is the cost of that, and every pair of earbuds pays a version of it.
More than almost anything else. A sealed fit is what produces bass and what lets cancellation work properly. Try each supplied tip size rather than assuming the pre-fitted one is right, since a poor seal undoes both.
