Twelve watts and a passive radiator in a 360-degree body — the KA19 is the small speaker in Awei's range that actually goes outdoors. Compare it across our speakers and soundbars.
A 66mm driver on its own would produce very little bass — there is simply not enough cone area to move the air low frequencies need. A passive radiator solves this without adding power: it is a driver with no magnet or coil, moved purely by the pressure the powered driver creates inside the cabinet. The effect is real low end from a box that has no business producing it. This is the single biggest reason the KA19 sounds larger than it looks.
Awei makes three speakers at roughly this size. The KA13 is smaller at 8W but carries a better IPX6 water rating and a microSD slot. The KA1 is the 360-degree entry model with TWS pairing. The KA19 is the loudest of the three at 12W, has the largest battery at 1800mAh, and is the only one with a passive radiator — but its IPX4 rating is the weakest, covering splashes and light rain rather than a soaking.
TF card playback and an AUX input mean it works without Bluetooth, and a built-in microphone handles hands-free calls. Charging takes about two hours over USB Type-C for five to six hours of playtime.

A 66mm driver alone cannot move enough air for real bass. A passive radiator has no magnet or coil and moves purely on cabinet pressure from the powered driver, producing low end a box this size otherwise could not.
The KA19 is the loudest at 12W with the biggest battery and a passive radiator. The KA13 is smaller but has better IPX6 water resistance and a microSD slot. The KA1 is the 360-degree entry model with TWS pairing.
For splashes and light rain, yes. It is the weakest rating among Awei's small speakers, so it will not survive a soaking or a hose. If the speaker will live somewhere genuinely wet, the KA13's IPX6 is the better choice.
Yes, there is a built-in microphone for hands-free calling. Quality depends heavily on how far you are from the speaker and how noisy the room is, as it does with any speakerphone rather than a headset.
TWS pairing is not listed in the confirmed specification for this model, so we cannot promise it. The KA1 and KA13 in the same range both state TWS support if pairing two speakers is what you are after.
