The smallest speaker in Awei's KA range, and the one with the best water rating of any of them. Compare it across our speakers and soundbars.
Most portable speakers at this size carry IPX4 or IPX5. IPX6 is a step further: protection against powerful water jets from any direction, not just low-pressure ones. In practical terms that means it survives a proper soaking — heavy rain, a hose, a bathroom with the shower running — rather than just a splash. It still is not an immersion rating, so it does not go in the pool. But if the speaker is going to live somewhere wet, this is the one in the range built for it.
A microSD slot means the speaker plays music with no phone involved. That is worth more on a small speaker than a large one: the situations a pocket speaker ends up in — a bathroom, a kitchen, a campsite — are often exactly where you would rather not bring a phone. Load a card once and the speaker is self-contained.
Eight watts from a 52mm driver is modest, and honestly so: this fills a bathroom or a small room rather than a garden. The 1200mAh battery gives around five to six hours. TWS pairing links two units for genuine stereo. If you want real volume outdoors, the KA19 steps up to 12W with a passive radiator and a larger battery.

Meaningfully. IPX5 covers low-pressure jets — rain and splashing. IPX6 covers powerful jets from any direction, so it survives a real soaking such as heavy rain or a hose. Neither covers submersion, so no pools.
Yes, that is one of the situations IPX6 is for. Steam and spray from a running shower are well within what it handles. Load music onto a microSD card and you do not need to bring a phone in with you.
For a bathroom, a kitchen or a small room, yes. For a garden or a group outdoors, no. The KA19 in the same range steps up to 12W with a passive radiator if you need genuine outdoor volume.
It lets the speaker play music files directly, with no phone connected. On a small speaker that matters more than on a large one, because pocket speakers end up in bathrooms and kitchens where a phone is unwelcome.
Yes, over TWS. One becomes the left channel and the other the right, which is the only way to get real stereo separation from portable speakers. A single speaker cannot produce it regardless of size.
