A small 360-degree speaker with lighting and a water rating — the entry point into Awei's KA range. See how it sits against the rest of our speakers and soundbars.
A conventional speaker fires forward, which means there is a right place to sit and several wrong ones. A 360-degree design radiates outward in all directions, so it works in the middle of a table with people around it rather than at one end pointed at them. That is the specific situation this shape is built for. The trade-off is that it cannot produce stereo separation on its own — which is what TWS pairing is for. Link two KA1 units and you get a genuine left and right channel, something one speaker of any size physically cannot do.
IPX5 means protection against a low-pressure water jet from any direction. In practice that covers rain, poolside splashing and a rinse under a tap. It does not cover submersion — dropping it in a pool is not what the rating anticipates. Within the KA range, the KA13 carries a higher IPX6 rating if water is your main concern.
A 1200mAh cell, with RGB lighting that reacts to the music. Lighting draws power, so leaving it on shortens playtime — most speakers of this type let you turn it off, and doing so is the easiest way to extend a session.

It radiates outward in all directions instead of firing forward, so there is no wrong place to sit. That makes it suited to sitting in the middle of a table with people around it, rather than at one end aimed at them.
Not from one unit — a single speaker cannot produce stereo separation regardless of size. Pair two KA1s over TWS and you get genuine left and right channels, which is the only way to get real stereo from portable speakers.
No. IPX5 protects against a water jet from any direction, so rain, splashing and a rinse under a tap are fine. Submersion is not covered. If water resistance is your priority, the KA13 in the same range carries IPX6.
Yes, noticeably. RGB lighting is a continuous power draw on top of the audio, so leaving it running shortens playtime. Turning it off is the simplest way to extend a session when you need the speaker to last.
Because we have not verified an output figure for this model against a unit in hand. We publish only what we can stand behind, so it is left out rather than guessed at. Everything in the table above is confirmed.
