Awei's marketing quotes a much higher wattage figure for this model; the 5W RMS in the specification is the continuous power rating, which is the number that describes how it actually sounds. Battery and connection

An 1800mAh lithium polymer cell rated at 10 hours of playback — enough for a working day of background music rather than a single evening. Bluetooth 5.4 handles pairing with a range of up to 15 metres in open space, which is more than the usual 10 and useful if the speaker stays in one room while you move around.

Lighting and calls

The dynamic lighting responds to what is playing rather than cycling on a fixed pattern. A built-in microphone lets you take calls through the speaker while it is paired, which is more useful on a bar-shaped unit sitting on a desk than on a speaker you carry.
